Trump says he might lose election if he cant stop mail-in ballots but warns Senate Republicans to embrace him if they want to win

US President, Donald Trump has continued his criticism of mail-in ballots ahead of the November elections, admitting he might lose if Americans have to use that option while voting.

Mail-in ballots is a type of voting system where Americans don't have to leave their houses to vote, rather they get their ballots mailed to them, and Trump speaking in an interview with Politico said the system could cause large-scale fraud even though some states have relied on the practice for years.

The mail-in ballots system could even become more essential as the Coronavirus pandemic continues to kill more Americans daily but Trump says his  reelection success could be at risk if he loses his lawsuits against mail-in ballot voting.

'My biggest risk is that we don't win lawsuits,' Trump said. 'We have many lawsuits going all over. And if we don't win those lawsuits, I think β€” I think it puts the election at risk.'

Trump was also asked if substantial mail voting could cause him to doubt the legitimacy of the election or even question the results. Sometimes mail votes are counted last, which can affect people's perceptions of a race and shift the race towards a candidate's favor in the last minute.

'Well, you can never answer the second question, right? Because Hillary [Clinton] kept talking about she's going to accept, and they never accepted it. You know. She lost too. She lost good,' Trump said.

Trump also delivered warnings to fellow Republicans that they will lose their elections if they distance themselves from him. His warning comes after his preferred candidate in Alabama, Tommy Tuberville, beat his former attorney general Jeff Sessions. Trump sacked and denounced Sessions publicly after the former AG recused himself from the infamous Russia investigations.

'If they don't embrace, they're going to lose, because, you know, I have a very hard base. I have the strongest base people have ever seen,' he said, days after .

Trump also blasted mail ballots publicly Thursday; 'They're going to be rigged,' Trump said in Georgia, where now-Gov. Brian Kemp was accused of voter suppression by purging thousands of ballots while he was secretary of state.

'They're going to be a terrible situation and you have to be careful in Georgia, but you have to be careful everywhere where they're doing it,' Trump said.

'Governor Brian Kemp, I'll tell you – what a warrior he is. He's tough, he's tough. And he's done a great job – you've done a great job in every aspect of running this incredible state. And I've always been there for you,' Trump said during remarks at the UPS Hapeville Airport Hub.

'And watch please, those mail-in ballots. You're going to watch that for me,' Trump segued, directing the comment toward Georgia lawmakers, citizens and UPS. 'Because, you know, they have a lot of problems all over the country.'
