Simi Questions How Money Donated By IMF For COVID-19 Is Being Spent

Singer Simi has reacted to the funds received by the Nigerian Government in the face of the coronavirus pandemic which has killed about a 100 persons.

Recently, the International Monetary Fund, IMF, gave Nigerian $3.4 billion as emergency fund to help in the country fight coronavirus.

In reaction, Simi wonders how theoney is being made use of when the people of Nigeria aren’t in any way benefiting from it.

“Sigh, who is collecting all these ones they keep giving us? Because the people damn sure not seeing any of it”, Simi tweeted.

Meanwhile, Nigeria just returned from a five weeks lockdown which had many citizens complain of hunger with no palliatives gotten from the government.

The Federal Government has, however, warned that the country is likely to go under lockdown again if guidelines given for the ease of lockdown are not complied with.
