Gunmen kill man in Kaduna, abduct his nursing wife

Suspected gunmen stormed Rigasa Community in Kaduna on Thursday, killed a man identified as Abdul’azeez Yushau and kidnapped his nursing wife.

It was gathered the incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday when the armed men stormed the victims' residence located at Karshen Kwalta.

One of his neighbours who pleaded for anonymity told Daily Trust that the whole community was thrown into confusion as majority now lives in fear.

”The victim is a local designer ( Kaftan) in Rigasa and he was not even a rich man because he was a tenant in the house they attacked. They also took away his wife who was nursing a baby. we don’t even know why he was attacked because the whole thing is confusing.

” Kidnapping for ransom has increased in Rigasa and environs because there is hardly a day without somebody being kidnapped. We need help please,” he said.

It was later gathered that the kidnappers called demanding for ransom hours after the incident.

The victim have been buried according to Islamic rites at Taro-Taro cemetery.

The State Police Command Public Relations Officer Yakubu Sabo confirmed the incident.
