?lawale ?l?f?r?, better known as Brymo, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and author.
He started recording music in 1999 while in secondary school. He signed a record deal with Chocolate City in 2010 but was accused of breaching his contract with the label in 2013. That’s by the way.
Brymo is known for making controversial comments on social media. Some says he brags alot and too full of himself. It literally seems so tho, however, most of the things he talks about himself, are true. Nothing but the reality.
Yesterday on Twitter, he tweeted that he is the only artiste in Africa with over 50% listener retention. That all three pop acts(Wizkid, Davido and Burnaboy) have less than 20% put together making him the bigger artiste in Nigeria and Africa at large.
He wrote’
“The only artiste on the continent with over 50% listener retention… all top three pop acts in Nigeria have less than 20% put together.
But frankly speaking, he’s right. Brymo is the most underrated artiste in Nigeria. Dude is not getting the respect he deserve. He is lyrically the best among all, alongside Asa. But it’s unfortunate that Nigerians prefer songs that can dance to that good lyrics. In a sane society, who will listen to Naira Marley and Zlatan Ibile?
Lyrically, Brymo is nobody’s mate! No argument.
