The EFCC saga ushered in more fame for him, more street credibility and of course his musical activities after he was released witnessed huge acceptance.
No doubt, EFCC played a significant role in Naira Marley’s current success in the music industry.
The street was obviously behind Naira Marley during his ordeal with EFCC.
The love he got from the core street stem from the fact that he was being real with his stance on internet fraud practice among Nigerian youths and his views are in-line with that of almost every youths.
It got to a point that everyone claim to be a Marlian and that was how the Marlian Fanbase grew bigger and stronger.
Marlian Fest in Ibadan and Lagos got sold out.
One thing everyone must learn about Naira Marley and his ordeal with EFCC is never to let any situation kill your spirit or deter you.
Despite the challenges and what he went through in the prison, Naira Marley, still came out to drop a song titled “Soapy” which became an instant hit after release.
As at today, no Naira Marley‘s song hit the industry as much as Soapy and of course, it was the biggest song last year.
3. Naira Marley At Wizkid’s 02 Arena Show Last Year
Naira Marley‘s street credibility earned him a guest performer spot at Wizkid’s 02 arena show in London last year.
He was the only street artistes Nigerians in London wants to see perform at the event and he pulled a very fantastic performance as the clips of his moments on stage went viral at that time.
The show was sold out because it was Wizkid‘s show which also had the appearance of the biggest Nigerian street act, Naira Marley.
Despite the good numbers of positives around Naira Marley after the EFCC saga, this issue of Car Theft almost ruined his image.
Reports had it that Naira Marley was throwing out money for his fans in Lagos when he ran into a Camry car owner who was bent on having a legal battle with the singer.
The incident got Naira Marley who owns a fleet of amazing cars accused of stealing a Camry worth N1.8m and iPhone x worth N330,000.
The cases was later withdrawn out of court and settled amicably between both parties.
No doubt, the EFCC saga made Naira Marley‘s success in the music industry happen so fast that he got big enough to start his own record label and sign young artistes.
Naira Marley unveiled Marlian Records at the Marlian Fest Concert last year December and he announced the signing of Mohbad, Zinoleesky, Fabian Blu and C Blvck.
It’s not up to 6 months when Naira Marley launched the label and it’s doing quite well to become one of the most recognised record label in Nigeria.
