Speculations have started running after the 30-year-old star took to his Instagram to post a cryptic photo of him standing in a gallery with artworks of his four studio albums on the wall, and a vacant one with a huge question mark on it.
See screenshot of the post below:
Recall that WizKid dropped his long-awaited fourth studio album, Made in Lagos, last October and quickly made a mark, both home and abroad.
It’s been six months, and MIL is already one of the most successful African albums ever.
The album which has accumulated a whooping 500 million streams across major streaming platforms, has also now spent 27 weeks on the Billboard World Albums chart. It is the longest charting African album.
This essentially means whatever WizKid is going to drop, is going to be very very big. And fans can’t wait for him to come through.
But knowing WizKid, he always disappoints and usually moves his dates, so who knows, it might take three years before we get the new album.
Anyway, if WizKid decides to drop the new album, millions of fans worldwide would literally go crazy.
