Why Do People Cheat In Relationships?

I’ve been pondering over this question for some time now and I decided to ask.
Cheating is fast spreading in our society today. Both genders are found wanting in this. Most people want a perfect relationship not having it in mind that nobody is perfect, and we all have our flaws and imperfections.
Most people cheat because of lack of effective communication and attention.
Am sure there are more reasons out there, so I need your contributions here because knowing a problem is part of the strategies of solving it.
