We Didn’t Use Corps Members’ Allowance To Fight Coronavirus: NYSC

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has dismissed claims that it diverted funds meant for payment of corps members’ February allowance to fight coronavirus.

Recently social media was abuzz with unfounded reports that the government had plans to use some parts of allowance meant for corp members to set up preventive measures for their safety.

However, in a statement issued on Tuesday by Adenike Adeyemi, NYSC press and PR director, it described the news as a “mischievous fabrication” that did not come from the director-general’s office as claimed.
