Football fixtures in Spain have been suspended until at least April 4, because of the coronavirus pandemic.
There have been more than 6,300 infections and 191 deaths reported in the country, making it Europe’s worst-hit country after Italy.
And Tebas is not afraid to make the difficult decision to abandon the current campaign.
“What we are dealing with now will end the competition, and this will be a week of important decisions in Europe.
“I have been working with contacts in Italy and Germany to try and square up schedules, but this is a serious health matter.
“With 25% of the season still to go, we have to review our entire budget if the season ends now,” he told Cadena Cope.
Barcelona are currently top of the table after 27 fixtures with 58 points, two more than Real Madrid in second place.
