Liverpool are expected to lose over £30million, after failing to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time in three years, the Daily Mail reports.
The Reds lost 1-0 to Atletico Madrid in Spain and were beaten 3-2 by the LaLiga side at Anfield on Wednesday.
Before then, Jurgen Klopp had won all 10 of his previous knockout fixtures as Liverpool manager.
Last season, the Reds received £54.7million in prize money for winning the trophy.
However, elimination during this year’s last-16 stage will have a considerable impact on their finances.
Klopp’s men have also crashed out of the FA Cup, but are poised to win the Premier League for the first time in 30 years.
