Twitter users clashed on the platform after Banky W pleaded with security agencies to send in officers to enforce social distancing, while he and his team share food in a Lagos community. 

The singer disclosed that the Police in Maroko has been incredibly supportive but they are stretched thin at the moment, as the 4 officers given to him and his team are not enough to do the job. 

He tweeted; 

@jidesanwoolu @followlasg We just need a little assistance with officers to help us control the crowd and get them to understand social distancing while picking up the food. Please help with Police/Army/Lastma. 10-20 solid officers would be amazing. Pls RT folks

Banky W also acknowleged that the Nigerian army has responded to his call via DM. He wrote;

However Banky W's tweet was trailed by mixed reactions as some stated that he shouldn't have called in security operatives, while others defended him.
