Now that the lockdown has been eased, we hope all artiste will head back to their studio and cook up something for their fans.

During the lockdown that started March 28th in Nigeria, while many artistes took up a philanthropist work of doing a giveaway on social media with the sole aim of building fanbase, few of them was busy cooking up hits.

We made an in-depth run down through all songs released during the lockdown and we handpicked the 10 best songs of the lockdown period.

1. Simi – Duduke

On the one spot of this list is very much celebrated track from Simi‘s Duduke.

“Duduke” is Simi‘s first official single for 2020 and is currently one of the most trending Naija songs on YouTube.

2. Mayorkun – Of Lagos

“Of Lagos” by Mayorkun is one of the few songs that set the social media space on fire during the lockdown.

Hence it has our 2nd spot on this list – Of La La La!!!!

3. Ladipoe Ft. Simi – Know You

The song which has been a social media sensation in the past weeks saw celebrities, both music and movie stars doing a singalong to the track.

Know You by Ladipoe is arguably the song that trended the most on social media during the lockdown.

4. Oluwapopular – Pains

On the 4th spot is this underdog song by new rap act, Oluwapopular – It’s worthy of it, check it out and tell for yourself.

“Pains” is a hip-hop rap single that tells a story of real-life experience that embeds spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings that everyone can relate to.

5. Tekno – Sudden

Another wonderful track released in the cause of the lockdown is Sudden by Tekno.

Tekno has been on a releasing spree since this year. He hasn’t relented in giving us new joints and they all find their way up to our playlists.

6. Adekunle Gold – Something Different

Another worthy of mention is the Adekunle Gold song that was released on the 1st of May, Something Different.

After he scored a hit with “Jore“, now “Something Different” is another hit from Adekunle Gold that has gotten loads of commendations from fans.

7. Joeboy – Call

Next-generation king, Joeboy also gave us something to vibe to while observing the lockdown, and it was amazing.

“Call” happens to be Joeboy first and the only song in 2020 so far.

8. Don Jazzy Ft. Falz – Safe

This is the best song released during the lockdown that addresses the pandemic at hand then.

Don Jazzy and Falz join forces to address everyone about the deadly disease, Corona with a song titled “Safe”.

9. Naira Marley Ft. C Blvck x Mohbad – Dido Lobo

The Marlian Record came through for the street too during the lockdown with this sultry tune “Dido Lobo”

The fusion of Naira Marley, C Blvck, Mohbad and Rexxie on this tune gave it the needed vibe to soar high.

10. Terri – Ojoro

Few days before the Government eased the lockdown, Starboy act, Terri also scored a hit with his newly released “Ojoro”

This is a track off his Afro-Soul EP and it’s worthy of mentioning due to its acceptability within a short time frame.
