Thank you Lord for blessing my daughter - Nicki Minajs mother Carol Maraj confirms the arrival of the rappers first child with husband Kenneth Petty

Nicki Minaj's mother has confirmed the arrival of the rapper's first child with husband, Kenneth Petty. 

Carol Maraj took to Instagram on Friday night October 3, to congratulate her daughter on her new 'bundle of joy.' 

The lastest grandmom shared a piece of fan art showing Nicki, 37, cradling her new baby, just a day after TMZ reported that the 37-year-old rapper gave birth on Wednesday, September 30, in Los Angeles. 

The site shared that the gender of the child and the name have not yet been made available.

'Thank you Lord for blessing my daughter, [Nicki Minaj] with a beautiful bundle of joy,' Maraj wrote on Instagram. 

Writing to Nicki, she added: 'You have always been a Blessing to myself and your family and now you have received one of the best Blessings from God.' 

"Children are a gift from the Lord. They are a reward from Him," Pslams 127:3,' she ended the post. 'Let us rejoice!.'
