Teenage Boy Reveals Why He Lured And Raped Neighbour’s Daughter In Lagos

A 16-year old boy has been arrested in Lagos for engaging a 3-year old in sex. It was gathered that when the boy was apprehended he told the police that he wanted to have sex and he decided to try it out with the victim before he was caught.
The incident happened at Afolabi Street in Oke-Odo area of Ilepo, Lagos where they reside.
It was gathered that the suspect lured the victim into their apartment, removed her pant and defiled her.
However, while still in the act, he was reportedly caught by one of their neighbours who raised alarm which attracted the victim’s parents.
The matter was reported to the police and the boy was arrested. He was later transferred to the Gender Section of the Police Command for interrogation.
During interrogation, he was said to have admitted committing the alleged offence. The police found his action culpable and charged him before Ogba Magistrates Court for rape.
The Court did not take his plea after the prosecutor, Supol. E Ayorinde, asked the Court to order for the DPP’s advice because of the nature of the matter which involved two minors.
Thus, the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi, ordered the defendant to be kept in a Remand home without an option of bail. The court also directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send to the DPP for advice.
The defendant will remain in the Remand home pending the outcome of the DPP’s report.
It was gathered that if the DPP finds him culpable, he may be tried for the alleged offence and if he was found guilty, he will be jailed accordingly despite his age.
