Today makes the 53rd day Nigerian Twitter Influencer, @Jayythedope is spending at Force Crime Investigation Department (FCID) detention
Some weeks ago, the Twitter influencer who is running a parody account of Ex President Goodluck Jonathan made a joke about his wife.
The joke seems to be an expensive one but that was not the reason for his arrest.

The Reason For His Arrest And 53days Detention
The Nigerian social media Influencer is actually impersonating Ex-President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GEJ) on Twitter.
He is using the exact name GEJ is using on Twitter and exact profile picture that he is using, making it easy for anyone to think the Twitter influencer is actually GEJ.
However, his twitter bio stated that he is not GEJ but a promoter and influencer.
For those who use Twitter very well, you will understand that nobody sees the Twitter profile until they click on the name or handle.
What We Think
Looking at this Twitter Influencer ordeal, GEJ himself might not know about the arrest, it could be a powerful person close to the ex-president and his wife that facilitated the arrest because he or she feel pained about the joke.
Now, Jayythedope is cooling off in police cell because of a Twitter Joke and impersonation of the Ex-President.
From the look of things, he might end up being sentenced to prison if care is not taking.
Nonetheless, other popular Influencers are already calling for his release but having spent 53 days at FCID, I am sure he must have learnt his lessons. God No Go Shame Us oo!
