Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand believes Arsenal captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has already decided to leave the club, despite winning the FA Cup final following his side’s 2-1 victory over Chelsea on Saturday.

Aubameyang scored two goals as Mikel Arteta’s side came from a goal down to beat Chelsea at Wembley after Christian Pulisic had opened the scoring for the Blues.

The former Borussia Dortmund star has entered the final year of his contract with the Gunners and negotiations over a new deal have failed to progress leaving Arsenal exposed to the possibility of losing their star player for nothing in under 12 months.

The Gabonese striker refused to elaborate on his future following his Arsenal’s FA Cup victory against Chelsea.

But Ferdinand believes Aubameyang has already made up his mind to depart the North London club.

Responding to Aubameyang’s post-match interview, Ferdinand told BT Sport:

“That to me says he is gone.

“I just feel like either there has been no negotiation up until now which I don’t believe.

“I feel there have definitely been negotiations or he’s already decided I’m going to go.

“I am going to enjoy this moment with my team-mates, and I don’t want to talk about my future.

“From my own perspective if I am committed to the club and I know I am staying this is a moment for me to say I am going to sort it out. It’s not done yet, but I will try and get it sorted out here guys.

“That just sounds like someone who is looking to go elsewhere. Arsenal needs to do all they can to get this guy to stay.”
