On a day like Sallah, Maraji decided to insult Allah & Islam

Everyone knows Maraji. Or maybe not everyone. She’s popular for viral internet comedy skits about life and personalities in Nigeria.

To an extent, her videos are relatable and hence they are usually shared and most regard her as one of the best Instagram Comedians and well as being an Influencer for most brands.

However, on a day like yesterday (Eid-el-Kabir celebration) when most Nigerians are enjoying the holiday especially the Muslims, Maraji trended on Twitter for the wrong reasons this time.

SHE SAID JESUS IS THE WAY NOT ALLAH

She took to her Instagram story to share the post that got Millions of Nigerians talking and insulting her for saying shit.

After posting the above, she also posted a Screenshot where she argued with a follower repeating her previous opinion and hence dissing other religions with a heavy emphasis on Islam with the comment “Jesus is the only way, not Allah or Muhammad“.

Now was she wrong?

Yes. While we agree everyone is entitled to air their opinions, but Maraji was insensitive and shouldn’t have made such comments in a time like this where the Eid-El-Kabir celebrations are still on.

What am I even saying? She makes no sense at all and no right-thinking person would support the rubbish you are saying. You are a Christian, fine, you do not have the right to attack other religions.

Trying to position Christianity over Islam is where she erred.

But it is her opinion.

You’re right but publicized opinions in matters like religion are not mostly welcome. The north is still reeling from the effect of Boko Haram who are opposed to the Christian introduced-Western education and bringing thoughts like this should be avoided.

Overall, we should be focused on things that foster unity and love. Anything that deviates from that should be avoided.

But guys
