With the release of the preview from the royal couple's interview with Oprah Winfrey, Piers Morgan slammed the couple once again on Monday, March 1.

The TV host said to his co-host on Good Morning Britain: "They only want positive media coverage. Who else wants that? Oh, Vladimir Putin, Kim Jong-Un. They want only positive media coverage, don’t they? That’s not how it works in a democracy."

Speaking about Prince Harry’s interview with James Corden for The Late Late Show, during which the pair took part in an open-top bus tour across Los Angeles, Morgan said: "Does it get any more embarrassing than this?"

Morgan was widely condemned on Twitter for his comments, with many Good Morning Britain viewers telling the presenter to "leave Harry and Meghan alone."

Piers Morgan also wrote an article for the Daily Mail where he said the only service Harry and Meghan know is "self-service."

He said the couple claim they want privacy yet they constantly put themselves in the public eye.

He added: "But since then, they've embarked on a relentless media blitz that makes a complete mockery of their claim to want privacy.

"Barely a week has gone by without some new announcement from the couple – from their lucrative Spotify podcast and Netflix documentary deals, to endless Zoom interviews and chats, a newspaper op-ed written by Meghan revealing she'd had a miscarriage, and then news of a new baby accompanied by intimate pictures of them lying under the tree of love."

He went on to claim Meghan enjoyed "positive press" from the British media until she disowned her father for colluding with a photographer to improve his image, then added that Meghan and Harry are now doing the same thing - colluding with photographers to improve their own inage.

He went on to call Harry and Meghan hypocrites and narcissists who are busy doing "endless self-promotion" while Prince Philips is in hospital.
