You remember the Bullion Vans seen at Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s house in Ikoyi, Lagos, on the eve of the 2019 presidential election?
As at then, a group known as “Concerned Nigeria” on Twitter has sent a petition to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate but all to no avail. In fact the former EFCC chairman Ibrahim Magu aka Hushpuppi senior, avoids questions regards to this like shit.
When Tinubu got confronted by some few Journalist, the All Progressives Congress stalwart, Bola Tinubu, told them that the bullion vans at his residence in Bourdillon, Ikoyi, is nobody’s business. That Nigerians should mind their business, adding that he can keep his money wherever he wants.
He said,
“Excuse me, is it my money or government money? I don’t work for the government. I am not in an agency of government and let anyone come out to say I have collected contract from the government of President Muhammadu Buhari or the APC in the last five years. They should prove it.
“I am on my own and I am committed to my party. So, even if I have money to spend on my premises, what is your headache? If I don’t represent any agency of government and I have money to spend, if I like, I give it to the people free of charge as long as it is not to buy votes.
“Who are those monitoring my house or bullion vans? They must be mischief makers because they report falsehood. They are liars and idle.”
This man is so rude, annoying and disrespectful! So we’re now liars and idle abi? Mtchwww
Well to prove Tinubu wrong that we Nigerians are not liars and idle, yesterday afternoon, the UK based controversial Nigerian author and lawyer Reno Omokri Calls For The Immediate Investigation, Arrest Of Bola Tinubu Over Money Laundering.
He wrote,
“Please help sign this petition calling on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to investigate Bola Tinubu for contravening the Money Laundering Act, by ferrying bullion vans into his house on election eve! Nobody should be above the law. We can only end vote buying in Nigeria by ending political godfatherism through citizen action. Or we accept Nigeria as it is. Your choice!”
Same yesterday, over 5000 Nigerians signed the petition on Change, org
Well for me, I support this movement. Though I haven’t signed yet but I’m going to do that after now. #EFCCMustInvestigateTinubu
I don’t know about you though. Or what do you think?
