Nigerian Students Return To School First Time In 6 Months

In states across the country, students are returning to school for the first time since March.

That’s when a lockdown was imposed to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic when it entered Nigeria.

Businesses, markets, worship centres have all reopened long before schools.

As students go to school in some states for the first time in six months, photojournalist Benedict Uwalaka follows them on the street to capture images never seen since the lockdown started.
