NYSC New Amount for Allawee: Corps Members Salary Increases to N30,000

This is what many has been longing for. The new approved minimum wage of N30,000 indeed affects NYSC Corps members, both those in service and prospective corps members as they are favoured to be paid N30,000 every month as their allawee or salary.


This was disclosed on Thursday, by the Finance Minister, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, during a press conference.

However, she noted that the Federal Government is still working out modalities before the implementation of the new allowance for corps members.

According to her, "The other aspect that should be clear is that there is an increase for the NYSC as well because NYSC, by its ACT, is designed that they can earn the minimum wage."
