While the name P Prime might be relatively new to music listeners, there is no doubt that if you listen to Nigerian music, you would have heard at least one hit song produced by the wunderkind.
P Prime, like so many other producers in the past, started out very young and got his big break after applying for and then attending The Sarz Academy.
Since then, he’s gone on to make some of the biggest jams in the country and is currently one of the bests doing it. For someone who just makes beats and reaches out to whoever he wants to work with, he has quite a number of hits in the bag.
One of his earliest works would be “Like I Do” off Fireboy‘s debut album, which was kind of the song that introduced him to many.
He then went on to do a couple of works with street singer and rapper, Zlatan Ibile. They worked together on songs like “Unripe Paw Paw,” “Egungun Be Careful,” “Compulsory Course” and some other old songs from his Zanku album. Zlatan‘s hit single with DJ Cuppy, “Gelato” was also produced by Priime.
Other artists he has worked with include the alternative singer, Moelogo, Dr Dolor star, Teni, Starboy singer, Terri and even DMW’s own Peruzzi.
But where you most likely have heard P Priime the most would be on Olamide‘s last studio album, “Carpe Diem.” He produced 7 out of the 12 tracks on the album, including big hits like “Infinity,” “Loading” and “Eru.”
Truth be told, P Priime is a beast and he’s got mad talent. Not too long ago, he’s even been seen working with Omah Lay and WizKid on what is rumored to be a collabo. He’s done all of this and he’s just 19 years!
He also produced Zlatan‘s last single featuring Mayorkun and Davido, “Cho Cho.”
