Football lovers, you remember this sad story?????

In a match between USA and Colombia at the 1994 World Cup tournament, Colombian defender Andres Escobar, in an attempt to block a cross from an American player, mistakenly score an own goal.

USA won the match 2-1 and consequently Colombia was eliminated from the tournament.

On July 1, 1994, Andres Escobar and his friends went to a bar in Medellin. But after his friends split up and Escobar was alone, he was attacked and shot six times. His murderer admitted that he had killed him in anger for scoring the own goal that caused Colombia to crash out of the competition.

Prior to that, the victim had received many threats to his life over the mistake on the field of play.
