Trent Alexander-Arnold insisted he had not worked on the corner kick, that sent Liverpool into the Champions League final.

The Reds mounted another incredible European comeback as they fought back from 3-0 down against Barcelona.

Divock Origi got one back after just eight minutes, before substitute Georginio Wijnaldum scored twice in as many minutes, to level the scores on aggregate.

Origi then capped the fightback and put his side ahead as he slotted home, after a quickly-taken corner from Alexander-Arnold that caught Barcelona off guard.

Asked about the set-piece at full-time, the Liverpool defender told BT Sport:

“It was just instinctive.

“It was just one of those moments where you see the opportunity.

“Divock was switched on and finished it off. It probably came at him a bit fast but he is a top player.

“He scored two goals for us tonight and everyone will remember this moment.”
