Governor Abdullahi Ganudje of Kano State has sacked the Commissioner of Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Mu’azu Magaji over his 'unguarded utterances' against the person of the late Chief of Staff to the President, Malam Abba Kyari.

Engr. Mu’azu Magaji had described the late CoS as "non-ordinary citizen" who amassed so much power in his Facebook posts. He also insinuated that President Buhari is not a man of his own because of Abba Kyari.

In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information Malam Muhammad Garba, Governor Ganduje stated that the sacked commissioner ought to have respect for the office as a public servant and also refrain from any act capable of rendering it to disrepute.

The statement reads in part;

“The action of a public servant, personal or otherwise reflects back on the government and therefore, the Ganduje administration would not tolerate people in official capacities engaging in personal vendetta or otherwise."
