Jumaat Mubarak!! Muslims, Why Is Dancing & Singing Not Part Of Jumaat Service? (Best Explanation Wins)

Is this why we have more Muslim youths porting into Christianity?

Jumaat Mubarak to all Muslims Naijaloadites, I pray this won’t be your last.????

Last weekend, I bumped into a friend whom I have seen for a very long time. It was during our discussion that I got to know Faroq is now a Christian.

“What happened, why did you change to be a Christian?” I asked with utmost curiosity

“Islam is boring jare, no singing and dancing, all you do is just observe solat, listen to sermon and that’s all”. He answered.

It was when he said this that I remembered Faroq’s interest in the art of singing, dancing, and playing of musical instruments when we were much younger but I never thought he could because of this turn his back to Islam.

At this point, I begin to reason with him, singing & dancing are not part of some important aspects of Islam practice like JumaatEid celebrations and all. It’s just to Observe Solat and read Quran, that’s all.

Imagine a Jumaat Service with a special performance from a Muslim Gospel Hip-Hop artiste or even A Joint Praise And Worship session with all musical instruments present.

Singing and Dancing are only done on very special occasions by Muslims, it does not seem to be an essential part of Islam.

To all Muslims here on Naijaloaded, let’s enlighten ourselves on this
