Former presidential aspirant, Eunice Atuejide has opened up about growing up, being flogged to comply, and how she had to run away from the country after she was flogged to force her to marry a General in his 60s.

The Nigerian lawyer made this revelation while speaking on whether flogging children is an effective method of raising them.

She revealed that she was flogged so much when she was barely 20 because she refused to marry an old General. Rather than give in, she said she ran away from the country.

She also addressed teachers who beat kids at school. She said "beating doesn't help anyone make the right or wrong decisions in their growing up years."
