Olamide has been making some visionary moves in the US of recent since the release of his album “UY SCUTI” which is doing pretty well on all digital/streaming platforms at the moment.
Unlike before, Olamide now understands that he needs to go all out especially in the United State of America if he wants to make even more money & impact.
Fireboy DML on the other has been one of the best decisions Olamide has made over the years, Fireboy DML surpassed all odds and took over the game as a 1 man band and has been giving us back 2 back ever since his arrival to YBNL.
Olamide’s daring moves of recent point to the pursuit of international recognition which is going pretty well for BADDO himself as he is making good alliances in the American music industry/Hollywood as a whole with the strong support/partnership with distribution company Empire.
This explains why Olamide let go of local talents like Davolee, Lyta, Picazzo Rhap, Yomi Blaze, and mentally unstable Temmie Ovwasa for Fireboy who has all it takes to capture both local and international talents.
Fireboy’s stay in YBNL is a win for Olamide and Fireboy himself. Pushing Fireboy and his two Internationally acclaimed albums.
Olamide followed him closely with “Carpie Diem” and Internationally improved “UY SCUTI“, all thanks to the Empire Distribution deal.
Empire as an organization is really breaking grounds for Olamide so far so good and believe me any plans they have drawn over the past few years are working out just fine for Olamide and the team
Olamide has appeared on Billboards in the United state countless times ever since he joined Empire and other unexpected things have been done for him. Something he wouldn’t have thought of doing for himself some years back.
Olamide’s attendance at the just concluded BET Awards is also a confirmation that he has come to break boundaries and also wants to be intentional about his aim in getting that international recognition without necessarily competing with the likes of Davido, Wizkid, and Burna boy.
He’s just a man moving with his team focused on the same goal and vision. He has taken over the street, he is the king of the street already, it just plain makes sense for him to go all out for international recognition.
Forget his lyrics which states; “International Recognition, Shay iyen ni maami ma je“. That was when Olamide was looking for money to feed his family but now, he has the money but needs to move to greater things.
Olamide – we are strongly behind you on your journey to the international scene, you have paid your dues and your hustle is one out of NONE!!!
