A heartwarming video of Ireland's president Michael D. Higgins' Bernese mountain dog refusing to leave his side unless it gets rubbed in the belly, has been trending on the internet.
The president's dog known as Bród interrupted President Michael D. Higgins during a press conference for International Women’s Day on Monday to demand a belly rub.
A video recorded by journalist Ibrah Razan showed the dog wandering around the venue before he eventually found his owner, and then laid down till he was rubbed on the belly.
