Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has slammed prominent Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Gumi for saying Nigerians will regret removing Isa Pantami as the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy following the controversy that surrounded his past comment which many alleged supports the extremism.

FFK in a recent interview, alleged that the Islamic cleric is speaking the mind of those in the core North and has also taken up the mantle of his father who according to FFK said a Christian will never rule Nigeria.

The former Minister maintained that Sheikh Gumi speaks for people who are ''misguided and don’t know any better.'' He also averred that any government that has people that think like Pantami will regret such.

The former Minister also accused Shiekh Gumi of speaking contemptuously about those in the Niger Delta and those in the middle belt with his claim of working with Boko Haram to destabilize the North and Southern part of the country.
