Unuyi salt flat also refers to as salar de unuyi is found in southwest Bolivia, in Potosí. It is the largest salt flat in the world and one of the heavens on earth places. It covers an area of 7,456 square miles (12,582 square kilometers).



That is a size little smaller than the size of Gambia or Jamaica. It is a plateau with a height of 3656 meters (11, 995 feet) above sea level in the Andes mountain.



The salt originates from massive lakes that dried up. The massive lakes were there thousands of years ago. When the lakes dried up, the salt emerges. The enormous size of the salt flat can be seen from space.

During the wet season, from the month of December to May, the salt is a mirror. it is the world's largest mirror. It reflects the sky, it is like the sky is upside down. Check the first picture again. Pictures taken are always perfect, giving dreamy surreal pictures you will love. It is like you're walking on water.



While during the dry season, the place is like a whitish desert in which hexagonal and pentagonal structures are formed on the flat. That is between the month of June to November. In both seasons, you will have a different beautiful experience.

The layer of the salt in some area of the flat is just a millimeter thick while in some areas, 2 meters (6.6 feet) thick. There are over 10 billion tons of salt in the flat, only 25 thousand tons or less are extracted yearly.



Beneath the salt lies lithium. Unuyi salt flat is known to contain 50-70% of the world's lithium. Most of today's batteries find their lithium from Bolivia.

Another beautiful sight of Unuyi salt flat is during winter nights or during the wet season with a clear sky. You can stargaze, because the sky will be clear, with beautiful twinkling stars reflected on the surface of the salt flat. [1]

Many people that have been to Zhangye Danxia landform geological park area, in China are often amazed. Just like the rainbow, the mountain cliff is colored with blue, green, yellow, white, black, and red being their intense color. It is like the mountain is covered with beautiful clothing or like an oil painting. The mountains are named after a Zhangye city, which is very close to the mountain, in the province of Gansu. It is also known as Zhangye Danxia wonders. In 2009, it was named as UNESCO World Heritage site and these mountains have attracted so many international tourists. 

The mountains are made up of sandstone and silt stones that contains iron and other minerals in small proportion. This gives it the characteristics color we see. Erosion and weathering cause the exposure of the underlying formation. Thereby removing the overlying formation of the rock. With different mineralogy and chemistry resulting from erosion and weathering, this causes variations in its color. 

The primary color of the mountains which is red occurred due to iron in the mountain that gets oxidized. Just like a rusted iron gives red coloration. Yellow stains of sandstone are characteristic of oxidized limonite which gives it a yellow color. When different minerals get oxidized, reacting with other elements, these give it different striking coloration. [2] It is amazing to see how organized the color palettes are.

Glacier Bay National park is a UNESCO World Heritage site, since 1980. It spans an area of over 3,000,000 acres. In the 1790s, Joseph Whidbey, find the glacier bay. the average depth is between 244 meters (800 feet) to 430 meters (1,410 feet). Due to the way the glacier ice is packed and the sunlight hit it. the glacier bay most times look blue.

Sometimes, calve, the ice block can loose and crash into the sea. The explosive sound and splashing are known as white thunder. Many icebergs are formed with it.

The World's largest submarine is haven by Glacier Bay. The Glacier Bay National park is a home to wildlife like bears, wolves, mountain goats, Dallas sheep, and more. The canyon is from the Spanish words, canõn meaning pipe or tube. Antelope Canyon is a beautiful deep, narrow valley with steep sides. The canyon is caused by excessive weathering of rocks over thousands of years. It occurs mostly in the region with low rain or desert.



Many people believed that the Canyon was first discovered by a girl from the Navajo tribe in the 1800s. while herding livestock at Arizona, on the way, she rambles through the crack sandstone. Later, some men from the Navajo tribe take refuge at Canyon.

Seabirds such as snow Petrel reproduce in big concentration possibly because of almost lack of snow-free ground. 6 kinds of seals in Antarctica include Crabeater, Ross, Elephant, Weddell, Leopard, and fur. Adult female Fur seals are the least in size, averagely weighs 330 pounds.



The elephant seals being the largest, the adult male weighs up to 8,800 pounds. In Antarctica, you get a close view of whales that will leave you with awe. Whales such as Minke Whales, Orcas, Humpback Whales including the world’s largest whale, the Blue whale.



13. Marvelous Northern light

Northern light also called the aurora borealis literally means northern dawn wind. It is a marvelous phenomenon that is worth seeing at night, it will leave you in awe. The aurora borealis occurs in an area of high latitude. It appears around 90 to 130 km (56-81 mile) above the earth. Though northern light is always there, it is only visible in the dark.



More colors can be seen through the camera, suppose you want to see everything about the light to the maximum, then take camera along. How does such dazzling light come about? The light occurs because charged particles from sun rays react with the earth's magnetic fields. Earth's magnetic poles centers are the sight of aurora and sometimes in the southern areas. Since near the pole, earth's magnetic field lines come and go into it. Electrons go across magnetic fields, making aurora borealis to be visible in elevation latitude areas.



For these reasons, the northern light is popularly seen in Scandinavia. It can also be observed in the northern coast of Siberia Murmansk Oblast, Russia; Tromsø, Norway; Gillam, Manitoba, Canada; Mt. Kirkjufell, Iceland; Fairbanks, Alaska and Dawson City, Yukon. All these region are heavenly places on earth.

The light sometimes can be seen in spiral motions because the light is made up of charged particles. Electrons in one direction and protons in the other directions along magnetic field lines. Since all this happens in the presence of oxygen, which is the biggest component at aurora altitude, the light emits green color, which is the most frequent color. Nitrogen in the air emits orange light and possibly red. It can also display purple, blue lights depending on the elements being ionized. The northern light can be seen by astronauts from space.



14. The Great Barrier Reef, Australia

The Great Barrier Reef is an Impressive area situated on the coast of Australia’s Queensland. It is the world’s biggest and magnificent reef system. The Barrier Reef is one of the great wonders of nature. The world’s largest organism is the Great Barrier Reef and it can be seen from space. It stretches for 2,600 km, with islands close to 900, picturesque golden beaches, and nearly 3,000 distinct reefs. This amazing place is equal to the scope of 70 million football fields, larger than Italy. 

It is a habitat for colorful amazing varieties of species of living organisms. 10% of the world’s fish species reside in the Great Barrier Reef, about 1500 kinds of fishes. 6 different species of turtle are found there, 30 different kinds of whale and dolphins. Different species of seahorse, sea snakes, giant clam, nudibranch are not left out. Corals, both hard and soft are alive. They are produced by polyps.

15. Mu Cang Chai, Vietnam   

Mu Cang Chai (Mù Cang Ch?i) is a series of a mountainous breathtaking field of rice terrace. It is a colorful rugged stairway. In Mu Cang Chai area, the terrace covers 2,200 hectares. The terrace was created by Northern Vietnam’s local hill tribes centuries ago. This heaven on earth places was created mainly to survive.

Its width is almost 3.2 kilometers (2 mile) and it is 19 kilometers (11.8 mile) long.



The fjord is encircled by rocks that are 1,200 meters (3,937 feet) high and more. There are two waterfalls at Milford Sound. Stirling falls which is 151 meters (495 feet) tall and Lady Bowen Falls is 162 meters (531 feet) in height. Sea animals such as seals, Humpback whales, and bottlenose dolphins find a home at Milford Sound.



The color of the water is dark because it is hundreds of meters deep also the water is a mixture of seawater and freshwater. 20. Rivers of Flowers, Netherland    

Rivers of flowers is also known as Keukenhof. Keukenhof means kitchen garden. Because the garden was formally used for growing vegetables and fruits. It was later in 1949 that 20 flower growers use the area to showcase their work.



Today, more than 100 flower growers showcase their finest flowers there. Annually, millions of visitors visit Keukenhof, one of the world’s largest gardens of flowers.

This beautiful garden covers an area of 79 acres. About 7 million flowers are planted each year. There are over 800 varieties of flowers in the garden. Most of the flowers are bulbous. There are also roses, daffodils, narcissus, irises, and hyacinth flowers. 

The floras are well organized giving it streams of colors. It is located in the southern part of Holland, Netherlands. You can only visit this heaven on earth place between the month of March and May, which is the only time the bulb spring to life. That is why the park is open only for 8 weeks every year.



21. Frozen bubbles, Canada      

Due to its striking natural appearance, photographers and naturalist doesn’t miss out taking a nice shot at Abraham Lake, North Saskatchewan River in western Alberta, Canada. Under Frozen Abraham Lake is a beautiful phenomenon of the frozen bubbles, seen on the surface of the ice on the lake's surface.



The bubbles are trapped in methane gas within the ice. The bubbles are released from decaying plants at the bed of the lake. You can walk freely on the ice without the fear of being slippery.
