Pandemonium broke out at the Sam Mbakwe Airport, Owerri in Imo state this morning after the Central Air conditioner at the airport went up in flames. Eyewitnesses say there was an electricity surge that caused the AC to catch fire. The fire affected the bookings and other flight procedures as the surge affected the electricity supply in the airport.

The fire was immediately put out with the use of fire extinguishers. Recall that the airport also experienced a fire outbreak in April this year.
