Facebook: Oops, We Uploaded Millions of Peoples Email Contact Lists

It's hard to remember the last time Facebook deserved the benefit of the doubt, if ever.

So when the company admitted that it "unintentionally uploaded" the email contacts of 1.5 million users this week, eyebrows understandably arched. That's especially because the issue stemmed from Facebook's controversial nudge to some users to provide their passwords for third-party services. Facebook says it will delete the contacts, which, you'll be excused for believing it when you see it.
