The 28-years-old Dutch defender has undoubtedly enjoyed a successful stint at his club, Liverpool, propelling them to the finals of both the UEFA champion’s league and the Fifa Club World Cup.

Former Chelsea playmaker and Belgian captain who is widely touted as the best player in the world is indeed a force to reckon with and a major contender for this year’s ballon d’or.
The Real Madrid forward known for his creativity, ‘showmanship’ and lethal finish, is considered to inherit the mantle from Messi and is undoubtedly capable of delivering.
However, the early days of Hazard’s Real Madrid career are not one the Belgian would be proud of, but should he get back to the Chelsea form then and only then can he think of saying “bring on the Ballon d’or”.
This year, we are hoping to see quite a few youngsters making their way through the list of top contenders for the Ballon d’Or.
One of whom is Haland, the 19 years old prolific striker who moved to Borussia Dortmund last year.
The teenage Norwegian has enjoyed an incredible stint so far with the German side and has scored an astonishing 41 goals in 38 appearances with a consistently stellar performance Haland might just be few votes away to grab the coveted prize.
Another prodigy who was made it to the top ten of last year’s list is also a major contender for this year’s award.
The French prodigy announced his presence in the football world prior to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and has since gone on to churn out consistent breathtaking performance for both club and country without a dip in form.
The young lethal attacker is steaming hot in the list of next Ballon d’Or winners.
Under normal circumstances, there is no doubt that Neymar is supposed to be the next big star in football ‘post-Messi and Ronaldo’ era.
However, football is a game laced with uncertainty that has given the Brazilian captain a long list of young talents to battle the position with.
The Brazilian forward has not had an excellent start to the 2019/20 season due to injuries and off-field facets, but he definitely gives us goosebumps when he is at his best. And he has managed to mutter 10 assist and 18 goals this season and is definitely on his way to consistency as well as a major contender for this year’s award.
