An FCT High Court in Maitama has sentenced Maryam Sanda to death by hanging for killing her husband, Bilyaminu Bello
Reports had it that She fled the dock immediately the judge convicted her. However, court officials and prison officials dragged her back into the dock.
After the judgment, Maryam started wailing and shouting “Inna lilahi Inna roji hun”, as her family and lawyer try to console her.
She was heard saying, “I was fasting and praying … Ya Allah, why?”
However, an exclusive footage shows how police and prison officials were rushing Maryam Sanda out of the court room after the judge had sentenced her.

Sanda had on November 19, 2017, stabbed her husband to death following an allegation of infidelity against him after seeing a text message on his phone.
