Sunday Are and Asa Asika manage the two biggest act in Nigerian music, but who really is the best when it comes to artist management?
When it comes to Nigerian music, apart from the artists and gatekeepers operating the several music platforms we have, the next power players are the artists managers.
Without them sometimes, you can’t have access to these superstars. They advise and sometimes take decisions on behalf of these artists.
The two biggest acts in Nigeria, Wizkid and Davido also have the two most knowledgeable managers.

Sunday Are is widely known in music circles as a legend in the industry. Having previously managed Lagbaja and D’Banj until the Mo’Hits split, he took up the mandate to lead Wizkid’s afrobeats global movement in 2015.
2. Asa Asika
Widely respected by his peers and artists alike, Asa Asika was the man Davido turned to for help when he came back to Nigeria in 2010. Though they split in 2013, he was recruited again to steady Davido back to the top.
Sunday Are and Asa Asika are similar since they both manage the two biggest artists in Nigerian music and have helped develop these acts into world class entertainers they are now.
