Baddo has a big influence in this music industry and he’s nobody’s mate. That’s why every time he puts out something new, the hype is always crazy.
The release of “UY Scuti” has kick-started a lot of interesting conversations on social media, as fans of Olamide and music generally debate over which is their best song from the album, and what the album means to the industry overall.
Some stans are also jumping on this Olamide wave to banter rival fans, and the victim of the bants this time is Davido and his army of die-hard fans called 30 BG.
A Twitter user who appears to be a Wizkid fan has made a comment that Davido should learn from Olamide and Wizkid‘s album rollout and how it doesn’t involve unnecessary publicity stunts.
See tweet below:
He’s most likely referring to what Davido did last year, when he went off social media for four months only to come back and drop interviews talking down on Burna Boy and WizKid.
His lead single, “Fem” which is a big hit single, had direct shots taken at Burna Boy, and the controversy continued even until the release of “A Better Time” in November 2020.
Burna Boy even tweeted “floppy disk” when the album dropped, and Davido retorted in an interview.
Olamide is one of the most low-key artists in Nigeria and has only ever had a public spat with Don Jazzy, an issue they quickly resolved ( Don Jazzy even posted his album today.)
Wizkid, in recent years too have adopted a cool lifestyle where he doesn’t engage anyone but his friends, family and fans. He sure doesn’t need any publicity stunt to promote his albums.
Should Davido also adopt this kind of silent lifestyle with no stress and not beef anybody? Or he should continue doing his thing his way, since it’s clearly working for him?
