MAC address here refers to a “Media Access Control” address which is a 12 character identifier for your network adapter or network card.

It is unique to every device. To hack WhatsApp account of your target, you need their MAC address.

Step 1: Uninstall WhatsApp

You need first ultimately to uninstall your own WhatsApp account from your phone. And delete all folders related to WhatsApp.

Step 2: Access Target’s phone

You need to gain access to your target’s phone and ensure you are not disturbed during the hack.

Step 3: Find the Target’s MAC address

Locate it in the following methods for different devices.

Step 4: Find your own MAC address

You need to change your mac address to that of the victim. This is known as Spoofing.

For iPhone, you can use MacDaddy X or WifiSpoof app.

For Android, you can use BusyBox or Terminal Emulator or Mac changer app.

Now, in the terminal, you’ll have to enter, “ip link show.”

You’ll now have to find the interface with your MAC address and change it. Depending on which app you are using the steps might be slightly different.

Step 7: Download and Install WhatsApp.

Download and install the WhatsApp on your phone but this time login with the mobile number of the victim.

Step 8: Confirmation Code

After entering the phone number, the target’s phone will receive a confirmation code to verify that this is their phone.

You need to enter the verification code to confirm. With this, you’ll get complete access to the target’s WhatsApp.

Whatsdog is an android application for tracking WhatsApp activity. It does not directly hack WhatsApp, but it does give you a lot of juicy details about all your WhatsApp contacts.

6)WhatsApp Image Hack

The Attack takes place in following steps

Step 1: The attacker will craft a malicious HTML file with a preview image.

Step 2:  WhatsApp web client stores the allowed document types in a client variable called W[“default”].DOC_MIMES this variable stores allowed Mime Types used by the application.

Step 3: Since an encrypted version of the document is sent to WhatsApp servers it is possible to add new Mime type such as “text/html” to the variable to bypass the client restriction and upload a malicious HTML document instead.

Step 4: Client encrypts the data using encryptE2Media.

Step 5: Change extension and preview image, and you get something which has more chances of being clicked. This makes the hack more foolproof.

While creating a WhatsApp account, the user is authenticated via SMS or a Call. Using call forwarding, you can get access to the target phone by forwarding its calls to your phone. This is how you can do it.

1. On the target phone dial *21*your number# which would forward phone calls to your number.
2. Now open WhatsApp in your phone and enter the target mobile’s number.
3. Authenticate using call instead of SMS.
4. Your phone will get a call instead of the target phone as you have forwarded all requests to your phone. Listen to the OTP carefully and enter.
5. After entering OTP, you have successfully managed to hack the WhatsApp account of the targets phone.
