Coronavirus: WHO Gives Latest Update As 50,000 People Recover In Africa

The World Health Organization (WHO) regional office for Africa in Brazzaville, Congo, has said that the number of COVID-19 cases in Africa has risen to over 123,000 in the past 24 hours.

WHO gave the update on its official Twitter handle on Thursday.

According to the tweet, COVID-19 has killed 3,600 people in the continent, while 50,000 people have recovered from the deadly disease.

β€œOver 123,000 confirmed #COVID19 cases on the African continent – with more than 50,000 recoveries & 3,600 deaths,”

The UN health agency tweeted.

The WHO African Region COVID-19 dashboard showed that South Africa, Egypt, Algeria, Nigeria, Morocco, and Ghana have continued to top the list of countries with the highest reported COVID-19 cases.
