Popular Nigerian artiste, Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, has been dragged to the Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja.

ELEX BLOG had reported that the artiste left Lagos for a concert on Saturday, July 13, 2020 in Abuja.

The concert which was held at the Jabi Lake Mall, drew a lot of public outrage.

Following the development, the government shut down the mall and equally stopped the operation of the airline whose plane he chartered.

However, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Bala Elkana, on Thursday told newsmen in Lagos that the police had filed charges against Marley for violating the COVID-19 order banning interstate travels earlier put in place to curb the spread of coronavirus.

“Naira Marley presented himself at the command headquarters on Thursday.

”We are in court as we speak. He will be arraigned for violating the interstate travel order.

“That is the aspect that concerns Lagos State,”

He said.
