Olamide is really a don, and his consistency on the scene ever since his inception is one of a kind. For seven years, the man really went on a ‘one album every year’ streak, even dropping two in one of those years.
He’s no doubt, released some classic albums, including the critically acclaimed “Baddest Guy Ever Liveth,” the hits-filled “Eyan Mayweather” and his latest offering, “Carpe Diem” released last summer.
Less than a year since the release of his last album and he’s ready to give us another one. Here’s all you need to know.
The forthcoming album will be released as either “UY Scuti” or “UY Scuti Wave.” The album is named after the biggest star in the universe. Is Olamide saying he’s the biggest star in the industry right now? Well, isn’t he?
The album will be released on Friday, June 18, 2021. When it’s released, it will be Olamide‘s 9th solo studio album, 10th album overall, and 12th project. In just a little over 10 years!
“UY Scuti” will have 11 tracks, and unlike on “Carpe Diem,” there aren’t a lot of known names on the guest list. The album features Phyno, Jaywillz, and alternative singer, Fave.
The first single from the album, “Rock” was released weeks ago, and everyone is anticipating the release of the studio album.
