A FIFA spokesman has explained why Manchester City escaped a ban despite being found guilty of breaking rules on signing young players (under 18 years old), unlike the harsh punishment (ban) Chelsea received.
Manchester City was only fined £315,000 by FIFA after “accepting its responsibility, saying the truth” over the breach of regulations surrounding their acquisition of under-18s but when Chelsea was asked, they denied and this led to the ban placed on them – Not allowed to sign any Player for 2 Transfer windows.
