Manchester United eased into the Europa League semi-finals on Thursday, staying on course for a potential all-English final against Arsenal after a 4-0 aggregate win against Granada.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaerβ€˜s men went into the second leg at Old Trafford after a comfortable 2-0 win in Spain and knew that, barring a disaster, they were almost certain to progress.

An early Edinson Cavani goal, his first for the club in Europe, virtually sealed the tie, though the visitors had chances of their own in both halves to keep the tie alive.

Manchester United, who won the competition under Jose Mourinho in 2017, will be desperate to win their last-four clash against Roma after four semi-final defeats under Solskjaer.

The trio of the Italians side AS Roma, Arsenal, and Villarreal also made it to the pre-final stage of the competition.

While AS Roma faces United for the first time in the competition, Arsenal will be slugging it out with the Spanish side, Villarreal for a place in the final.

Looking at the four sides and checking out every analysis, the Manchester United side seems to be on their way to winning their second Europa League cup having won it in 2017 under manager, Mourinho.

Here Are 4 Solid Reasons Manchester United Will Win The Europa League This Season:-

1. They Are The Most Recent Winner Out Of 4 Teams In Semi-Finals

While Villarreal is the team with the highest number of Europa League appearances of the last four teams left in the tournament, they are the only team that has not lifted the trophy.

Of the four, three of them have lifted the trophy with only Manchester United the recent lifter of the prestigious second-tier UEFA Cup.

Arsenal and Italian side, Roma were only able to lift the trophy in 1970 and 1961 respectively when the cup was still named Fairs Cup.

Manchester United recently lifted the trophy in 2017 under Mourinho.

2. Man United’s Present Form As Best Performing Club In The League Out Of The 4 Teams

Looking at the form of the four teams, Manchester United remains the most consistent side and the team that is sitting at the highest position on their respective league tables.

While Manchester United is currently sitting in the second position behind leaders and noisy neighbors Manchester City on the Premier League table, Arsenal who is just picking up of recent is struggling for a European spot as they sit ninth on the Premier League Table.

AS Roma just like Arsenal is also struggling for a spot on the Europa League position as they sit seventh on the Serie A table.

Villarreal however seems to have lost a spot to go to the Champions League as they are sitting on the seventh position on the La Liga table, a point off the Europa League Cup spot.

3. Man United Is The Most Experienced & Successful Side

Manchester United has often been tagged the most successful English side and of the four, they are the most successful.

With three Champions League and a Europa League Cup, the former Champions are definitely the best bet for this trophy.

Of the four sides left in the competition, only Arsenal could boast of a better successful campaign in Europe than the Red Devils.

4. Manchester United Has Good Head-To-Head Record Over Other Teams

Their head-to-head ratio with the other teams left in the semifinals of the stage shows that the English side has an advantageous edge over the other trio.

The Ole-coached side has met Roma six times in Europe and has only lost once to the Italian side, winning four and drawing one.

Of the trio, only Villarreal has a chance of holding the United side as the four times they have met have seen the games ending in a goalless draw.

Of the 193 matches played between Manchester United and Arsenal, the United side leads with over 90 wins compared to Arsenal’s 65.

In Europe, Manchester United and Arsenal have met twice with United winning in both games.

The End!!
