We took a thorough run down through Nigerian music household and we picked out 10 famous songs that were released with is own personified dance steps.
The arrangement of the songs from 1-10 was arranged in no definite order, it was just placed randomly.
Buckle your shoes and be ready to Gbe Body with this list;
Yahooze is a dance routine popularized by Olu Maintain from as far back as 2008.
Back then “Yahooze” was the go-to song to play in your party when it seems dull and you need people to turn up.
Olu Maintain enjoyed the wave that came along with having a dance with his song then and he should be a proud pioneer of a dance step that rocks the Nation.
The almighty “Kukure” dance popularized by the MTN Project Fame winner, Iyanya also made it to the list.
Before the Kukure era, the singer, Iyanya has been in the industry with a success story, on the advent of a dance-inclined song titled “Kukure” his story took a good turn.
Don’t be surprised if I say Kukure is the only Nigerian dance I remembered I know how to dance.
After winning the Davido’s Skelewu challenge dance cum singer, MC Galaxy released his debut single titled “Sekem” and of cause it has a dance too.
Sekem which stylishly looks like Davido’s Skelewu dance too – Well Nigerian grooved to it and it was a worthwhile dance too.
Also on this list is a Dance step introduced by defunct music group P square named “Alingo”
Alingo was also a dance step that rocked the music space for a very long time.
Atimes remembering Davido also birthed a dance routine song titled “Skelewu” do bring joy to my heart.
Back then in 2016 when Skelewu drops, the standard Davido set was amazing and the dance sure cut across the Nation and it was a banger.
A worthy of mention dance step that also scatters the dance floor in Nigerian’s party is “Shoki” a dance step popularized by Lil Kesh.
However, the was a lot of brawls surrounding the main pioneer of this song, but with the wave of the song, it’s safe to say Lil Kesh popularized it.
As per Street King, it won’t have been so nice for Olamide to dominate the street music scene for so long without having a dance routine to his name.
He executed it with the of his “Shakiti Bobo” dance routine and it’s was an instant go-to party starter song and dance in Nigeria then.
The term “Shaku Shaku” is more than just a song or dance – It’s an industry on its own. If you call Shaku Shaku a genre, you’re also more than correct.
The Shaku Shaku dance was popularized by many songs, but the Legbegbe of Mr Real was the Most Popular of all.
“Mo be Zanku wo le, mo ni ko fade Shaku Shaku” – This exactly what happens when Zlatan pioneered a new dance named “ZANKU”
This is still like the trending dance now in the music scene and it has been metamorphosed to varieties of dance since its advent.
